"It’s been 3 years since we started the process of writing and recording In the Light.
We wanted to write a concept album, and although it isn’t quite that, it does tell a story. I was in a pretty dark place in 2017, I guess you could say I was at my bottom. The album starts off more melancholy, and unsure, the further you get the more triumph and breakthrough you will hear. Steven has always been the musical mastermind, as I don’t play an instrument, I have my voice and my stories to share. I write most of the lyrical content. Steven has written some too though. We brought Jaron into the band in 2018 and he has been an integral part in the making of this, not only with keys and instrumentation, but with his innate musical ability and songwriting skills. We have featured our friend David Clare on this album and he adds so much to every song he is featured in and his guitar makes the songs soar. David Clare and James Marcet are both featured on one of my personal favorites on the album called Free. Last but certainly not least our album was produced and mixed by Steven at Papa Doc Studios, and Mastered by Andy Reed at Reed Recording Company.
Our beautiful album art was done by Rachael Ruby of Voodoo Tattoo. The album is available today on all streaming services. Please listen and share." - Shannon Schnettler
